Intro to Tapestry Weaving

Tapestry weaving is a portable, fun and expressive technique with endless possibilities. In this introduction to tapestry weaving, participants will be given their own lap loom and will produce a finished wall hanging using natural materials. Participants will learn various weaving techniques suitable for creating both geometric and organic designs while exploring form, colour and texture.

Each student will receive a beginner weaving kit that includes a small Ashford hardwood weaving frame (13.75″ x 9.75″), a spool of loom warping thread and tapestry bobbin to take home. ($80 Value)  A selection of yarns and fibres will also be provided during the class.

Starts Saturday April 27, 11am-2pm
This weaving class is two 3-hour sessions
the second session meets May 4th

$200 ($120 + Small Loom Kit $80) – Students may also upgrade to a large Ashford hardwood weaving frame (27.5″ x 19.75″)  for an additional $20. Please make sure you add the loom kit of your choice (small or large) along with your class date – REGISTER HERE
